A Bronze EcoVadis Medal Worth Celebrating
We’re proud to share that Targus has earned a Bronze Sustainability Rating from EcoVadis in 2025. EcoVadis is the trusted global provider of sustainability ratings that provides trusted data, actionable insights, and continuous improvement to companies committed to strengthening their environmental performance and value chain. The EcoVadis methodology assesses companies’ policies, measures, and published reporting in the areas of environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement.
Our 2025 bronze medal puts Targus in the top 35% of companies worldwide for sustainability excellence. This percentile is based on a comparison of Targus’ performance with all rated companies performing an EcoVadis assessment during the previous 12 months.
So, what does a Bronze EcoVadis Medal mean? It signifies that Targus is achieving sustainability progress faster than companies, globally. Yet humbly we realize this is just the beginning of our sustainability journey.
Making a Positive Impact with Targus® EcoSmart® Laptop Bags and Tech Accessories
Targus’ laptop bags and tech accessories not only protect your tech. They also help you to make smarter choices for the planet. Did you know that Targus has been using recycled plastic water bottles to make EcoSmart laptop bags since 2008? So far, this has resulted in the use of 37 million water bottles* that would otherwise be discarded. Today, our company continues to bring more and more EcoSmart® products to the market. For example, last year, we launched our Coastline EcoSmart Collection** of laptop bags made from certified ocean-bound plastic and a high percentage of recycled materials. Using ocean-bound plastic in our products helps reduce plastic waste destined for our oceans and waterways. And in 2023, we introduced a line of premium, eco-friendly tech accessories including mice and keyboards designed for sustainability. Targus EcoSmart™ tech accessories are made from up to 85 percent post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic and operate on ultra-low power Bluetooth® technology.

**Ocean-bound or prevented/diverted plastic is plastic waste recovered from within 50km an ocean coastline or major waterway that feeds into the ocean in a geographic region that lacks formal waste management. Except in the case of a sea, material collected from major waterways may be no further than 200km from the mouth or end point of that waterway.
